Nile Rodgers the master of Disco guitar was in town playing with his band Chic on 12 April 2018. The show included all his classics including Le Freak, Good Times, I Want Your Love and more. The band also played songs he wrote for other artists such as Madonna (Like A Virgin), Sister Sledge (We Are Family), David Bowie (Let’s Dance), Daft Punk (Get Lucky) and Diana Ross (I’m Coming Out)
After the show he stayed around shaking hands and talking to people. GANZ Committee member Val Cole was lucky to be near the front and to shake his hand. “It was inspiring to see him play and to meet him afterwards. I’ve been copying his style since 1986, so it was great to see him play the songs live”
