Inaugural harbour view Art Exhibition.
• WHERE: The Ponsonby Cruising Club, Westhaven, Auckland.
• DATE: 7th – 11th May. Opening hours – from 11am – 7pm.
• ENTRY FREE – DONATIONS WELCOMED.
We will have over 250 works of art covering a wide range of mediums and topics as well as Glass Art and Jewellery, sculpture, model boats and other works. There will be an ‘Artist in Residence’ – well known water-colourist – Amanda Brett – showing us her style of painting and how she produces her fabulous paintings.
The purpose of this Exhibition is to raise funds for our Sailing School. Each year we teach hundreds of young children water safety and how to sail, so we are always in need of funds to maintain and repair our boats.
Also on Saturday 10th May, we are holding a Gala Auction Night.
Mr. Rob Tulp of Harcourts is donating his time to run our event. We will have a wide range of non-art items up for auction – holidays, fishing trips, restaurant meals etc. This is the night our raffles will be drawn, our Silent Auction bidding will close and the winners will be announced. It will be a great night. Snacks will be available from 6 pm and the auction will commence at 8 pm.
During the week, please come and enjoy the art and maybe a glass of wine (at Club prices) or a cup of coffee while you are visiting the Club. We look forward to your visit.
