A chance to see a great Kiwi musician up close, Graham will be performing as our guest for March, 18th at 8.00pm .  Always an entertaining  performer, relaxed and comfortable playing some of his classics and some of his new work.

Totally worth getting along and sharing an evening of fine local live music.

See you there,

Ganz Guest Feb 18th: Anthony John Clarke

Anthony John Clarke 2

Anthony John Clarke – Singer songwriter – Entertainer extraordinaire
www.anthonyjohnclarke.com
The Belfast Telegraph described him “A born comic and a keen observer of the idiosyncratic; Brilliantly original. Magnificent”.
Folk Group Fairport Convention claimed him as “…. a National Treasure” Irish musician Colum Sands describes him as “the real drop.”
The tributes come thick and fast, and there are plenty with 11 albums to his credit and a huge following overseas, this seasoned troubadour and
wordsmith has graced the world folk scene for 25 years yet still sees himself as an apprentice songwriter.
Clarke last played New Zealand two years ago, where he charmed and mesmerised audiences in clubs, cafés and festivals with his songs, antics, anecdotes and wit. His songs range from poignant laments that touch the heart and leave a lump in the throat to songs dealing with the lighter side of life, full of mischief and mirth. His songs often bring on laughter and knowing smiles, confirming his eye on our behaviour is never too far off the mark.

Anthony John Clarke is highly entertaining and enormously engaging.
His concerts leave audiences charmed, beguiled and calling for more.
Audiences leave his show with laughter in their hearts and smiles that can’t be dampened. They have a lightness of being.
An acknowledgement that they’ve seen a truly gifted artist.

Mark and Loren, last chance

20141107_201913 20141107_214659 20141107_214723 Went to the Victoria theatre, Devonport last night to see Mark Mazengarb and Loren Barrigar playing their particular brand of acoustic guitar.

From the first note to the very end of their well deserved standing ovation and encore, there wasn’t a grumpy face in the audience.

If you need to get some foot tapping time with a pair of the worlds best, their last show in Auckland is at the Vic tonight, starting at 8.oo pm. Guaranteed quality smiling time backed by some superb finger pickin’ mastery.

…………..oh, and last night they had a guest spot with International star Tami Neilson who just happened to be in the crowd.

Mark’s agreed to do a workshop for us at the Pons, Wednesday evening, 7.30 19th November  email Dennis for more info  dennis@selenden.com  or phone/text to 022 657 3820
